Geods
Greek for “earthlike”, occur in certain sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Geodes are essentially hollow, roughly spherical. They can form in gas bubbles or as rounded cavities in sedimentary formations.
Color: Most geodes contain clear quartz crystals, while others have purple amethyst crystals. Still others can have agate, chalcedony, or jasper banding or crystals such as calcite, dolomite, celesite, etc. There is no easy way of telling what is inside a geode until it is cut open or broken apart.
Metaphysical: Geodes are wonderful for anything to do with feminine energies. They can be used to improve fertility and creativity. They offer powerful protection during pregnancy and child birth and to protect small children.
